hi. new here. i am 26, a nurse in Fargo, and i just won a bid on my first RV, which is a sentence i did not expect to type this year. it is a 2020 Jayco Redhawk 22J on a Ford chassis, about 21,300 miles, a repo that sat at a lender yard in Grand Island, Nebraska. i bid $58,300 on the lake park site and won. money is wired and it is supposed to arrive in about two weeks.
and now i am up at night rereading everything. the page says a 30-day money-back guarantee if a lot was "materially misrepresented". what does that actually mean? if something is broken that was not in the listing, is that material? who decides? the biggest thing i have ever owned is a Corolla.
also my dad thinks i wired $58k to a website and will never see it. is this legit?

welcome sofia, and breathe. nobody on here can tell you how a specific claim will be decided, and i would not trust anyone who says they can. read their terms page yourself, that is the document that counts.
how the phrase gets used by people who have been through it: it is about the big things a listing got wrong. wrong mileage, a title problem, a coach listed as running that does not run, frame or water damage the photos hid. a torn screen or a tired battery on a five year old camper is usually not that.
on the legit part, two members here have posted full buying threads with the paperwork in them, see the 28A and the 319MB threads on this board. when your title and lien release show up, check that the VIN on both matches the coach. that is what makes it yours.

hi from Park Rapids. i was where your dad is back in july, except in our house it was my husband. what settled him was the paperwork. our title came from the lender with a lien release on the bank's letterhead, and lake park auto connection was on the bill of sale as the broker. it is the bank's coach, they sell it for the bank.
when yours comes, go slow with the driver there. odometer against the listing. start the generator, run the furnace, run the water heater on gas and on electric, fill the fresh tank and look under the sink for drips. and do a ladder look at the front cap seam, my thread explains why. a 2020 camper will have little stuff. ours had a loose awning plug.

the 22J is an easy first coach, short enough to park at a grocery store if you pick your spot. from the chassis side add two things to that arrival list: look at the brake fluid color, and crawl to the back of the frame with a flashlight. fresh undercoating sprayed over one patch on a five year old chassis is a question worth asking before you sign.

update. it came oct 29, twelve days after i paid. Grand Island to Fargo is well under the free delivery miles so there was no charge. i went through joe's list and the one from Park Rapids with the driver standing there, and he did not mind at all.
odometer said 21,388, the listing said about 21,300. the title and lien release came in the mail four days later, and the VIN matches on both. what was wrong: the bathroom skylight dome is cracked, not in any photo, and the house battery would not hold a charge. i emailed to ask whether either one counted as material before i fixed anything, and it took three days to hear back, which felt like forever when you are nervous. the answer was pretty much what tammy said, those are wear items on a 2020, and anything bigger would go under the 6-month limited warranty.
skylight dome was $64 online, battery $140 at Fleet Farm. my dad now wants to borrow it for deer camp. no.

good for you sofia. deer camp is how it starts, next thing it is your camper in name only. for your first Fargo winter: blow out the lines and put the pink stuff in every drain trap before it gets near zero, and bring the house battery inside. we lost a brand new one in Kearney our first year because we left it in the coach.
